Olivia Evans is currently in her third year as a pre-professional student at Integrarte under Erica Cornejo and Carlos Molina. Prior to training at Integrarte, she trained at Boston Ballet School, and she has also attended summer programs with BalletMet, Carolina Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Sarasota Ballet, and Boston Ballet School.
Olivia is new to the choreographic world, with her first piece “Arrhythmia” premiering in June of 2019. Her most recent piece, “Reverberate,” premiered in December of 2019. Even with a classical background, she aims to explore modern and contemporary styles in her work, and hopes to continue to develop her choreographic voice for many years to come.
For the Collaborative, Ms. Evans created an extended version of “Reverberate,” a piece with an emphasis on cohesive movement and musicality. She showed a comparison of the original piece and the piece as performed at home for Dancing in a Time of Stillness.
